Job summary

Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, CA is seeking a motivated part-time Prep Cook to support the Chef and Kitchen Manager across all outlets. You will follow recipes, assist with food prep, and help ensure quality and safety standards in a fast-paced resort setting.

Compensation ranges from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, with shifts that accommodate a flexible schedule. This role offers hands-on learning and growth within the Troon hospitality team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions for proper food preparation.
• Maintains quality and monitors freshness daily.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
• Operates kitchen utensils and equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products.
• Ensures proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures of products.
• Receives and inventories food and beverage products and supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

The Prep Cook will assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager in preparing food for all food outlets on the property and processing checkout for food orders. Cook will also perform other related tasks to food preparation and kitchen sanitation/cleanliness as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.

Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.

Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or causticchemicals,and inoutdoor weather.Noiselevel ismoderate.
