Job summary

Snooze Boulder is hiring a Prep Cook to join our breakfast-forward team. You’ll help maintain quality, safety, and timely dish preparation in a fast-paced kitchen, working 50 lb lifts and long standing shifts with attention to cleanliness.

We offer competitive hourly wages of $18.50–$22.00 per hour, weekly pay, and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plans; and paid time off for full-time Snoozers after a year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served.
• Be well-acquainted with menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation basics.
• Prepare a variety of food items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and rotation of products.
• Close the kitchen following opening/closing checklists and assist with deep-clean tasks as needed.

The Position Specifics

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishesserved
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safetyinformation
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portionbags
• Shows up when scheduled and prepares, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smoothservice
• Maintains a clean and sanitarywork stationincluding tables, shelves, broilers, sauté, burners, ovens, flat top griddles, and refrigeration equipment both during and afterservice
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards and Snoozy Sanitation guidelines
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stationscompleting deep clean projects as dictated by the managementteam

Certification Requirements
