Job summary

Snooze The Heights is seeking a Line Cook who will prepare breakfast items with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety and sanitation, knowing all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety information, and prepping foods with ovens, stoves, and mixers. We offer weekly pay and benefits; experience and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• Preference for 6 months in a high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management.
• Able to reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes.
• Know all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety information.
• Prepare a variety of items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, processors, scales, and bags.
• Prepare foods for service using ovens, stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station.
• Handle all products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship.

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
