Snooze – An Am Eatery in San Antonio is seeking a Line Cook to deliver high-quality breakfast dishes with care and craftsmanship. You’ll work with a team to ensure safety and quality while prepping for service.

We offer weekly pay, health/dental/vision insurance after time, a $15 per shift breakfast allowance, a 401(k), and volunteer days. Must be 17+, with 1 year restaurant experience, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• Must be at least 17 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Familiarity with health and safety guidelines and food handling basics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes.
• Know all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety info.
• Prepare items using knives, mixers, blenders, processors, scales, bags.
• Cook foods using ovens, stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and area.
• Handle products in line with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

Line Cook Earning Potential: $16.50 - $20.50/hour

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship.

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
