Job summary

Delaware North’s Patina Group in Boston, MA is hiring part-time Prep Cooks to join our team at Tacos Mejor. You will prepare food items for our established guests and support a fast-paced kitchen that delivers great guest experiences.

This role offers weekly pay and a benefits package including training, employee discounts, and flexible schedules. You’ll work with the Chef on instructions, maintain cleanliness, and follow ServSafe safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation preferred.
• Able to read prep sheets.
• Capable of safe use of knives and small equipment.
• Able to follow instructions.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve storage items, measure, portion, and prepare all food items, complying with quality standards and procedures.
• Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training.
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and ServSafe procedures.

What will you do?

More about you

• Prior food preparation experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets
• Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment ware)
• Ability to follow instructions
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids
• Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
• Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
