Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships seeks a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. You’ll ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards before hitting the line, working across multiple brands with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have automotive repair experience across brands, strong diagnostic skills, and own a basic tool set.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are a plus
• Experience with multi-brand vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Own a basic set of tools

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and reconditioning to front-line-ready standard
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across multiple makes/models
• Complete safety inspections and any CPO requirements to the letter
• Document repairs clearly and communicate condition to management
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area; care for shop equipment
• Ensure reconditioning timelines are met to keep vehicles moving
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues; never pass a vehicle that isn’t right
