Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service their used vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts the quality, safety, and value of every vehicle we put on the front line.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and ensure reconditioning meets brand-new standards, while maintaining a safe and efficient shop environment. Grubbs offers training, benefits, and a culture built on integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing vehicles across multiple brands.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Own a basic set of tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and complete reconditioning to front-line-ready standard.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across multiple makes and models.
• Complete safety inspections and any certification (CPO) requirements to the letter.
• Document all needed and completed repairs clearly and communicate condition to management.
• Work efficiently to keep reconditioning timelines tight so vehicles hit the line fast.
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues - never pass a vehicle that isn't right.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for shop equipment.
