Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. Your work directly affects vehicle quality, safety, and value as we bring cars to the front line.

You’ll perform thorough inspections, diagnose and repair issues across multiple brands, and ensure safety and certification standards are met with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience across multiple brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Own a basic set of tools for personal use in the shop.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and reconditioning to front-line-ready standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across multiple makes and models.
• Complete safety inspections and any certification (CPO) requirements.
• Document all needed and completed repairs and communicate condition to management.
• Work efficiently to maintain tight reconditioning timelines so vehicles hit the line quickly.
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues and never pass a vehicle that isn’t right.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for shop equipment.
