Job Summary and Qualifications

Join us as a Preoperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care. As a valued team member, you will embody HCA's values and provide quality, family-like care.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Prepare patient care areas before procedures.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments, review histories and diagnostics.
• Review charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transfer to the OR.

Qualifications Needed

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as per state requirements.
• BCLS certification (online not accepted).
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required by the facility, within 30 days of hire.
