Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp unit. The role involves planning and delivering patient care, administering medications, documenting care, and coordinating with the team to ensure seamless patient flow.

Eligible candidates may receive up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements include Kentucky RN licensure, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Schedule is 4x10 hour days with on-call.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold a Kentucky or compact state RN license and an accredited nursing degree.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS are required.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree in nursing
