Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a PreOp RN to join our surgical team. You will perform plans of care, administer medications, document care, and collaborate across disciplines to support patient readiness for surgery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided and monitors patient condition.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates transfers and discharges.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to meet psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for patient well-being and participates in performance improvement.
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance and adapts to flexible shifts as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
