Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center in Durham, NC seeks a full-time Preop/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across age groups, provide supervision, and participate in unit improvements.

Requirements include RN license in NC or compact, BSN preferred, BLS, and 1 year perioperative experience; ACLS/PALS within 6 months are preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure in NC or compact multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred on hire; must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
• Coordinate discharge planning and readiness with the care team.
• Apply age-specific standards and policies in medications and procedures.
• Document patient care in the medical record per policy.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and safety initiatives.
