Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide perioperative and general nursing care across age groups, from 4 weeks to geriatric, in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure in North Carolina or compact multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS/PALS recommended and to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality patient care according to established standards.
• Collaborates on discharge planning with the care team.
• Adapts care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients; follows age-specific standards for medications and procedures.
• Incorporates cultural and developmental needs into the care plan and maintains safety.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and delegates appropriately to staff.
• Documents patient care in the medical record per standards.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and care delivery system development.
