Job summary

The role requires current RN license, BLS/ACLS, and potential PALS within 90 days; experience in PreOp/PACU preferred. You will contribute to policy adherence and patient education, delivering safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification within 90 days if pediatrics is assigned.
• Core (FT/PT): 1+ year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.
• Licensed RN with no PreOp/PACU experience may enroll in Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• PRN: 2+ years RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs.
• Formulate a care plan including discharge planning with input from patient and family.
• Implement care with coordination and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and update the plan of care as needed.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes accurately.
