Job summary

Townsen Memorial Surgery Center is seeking a Full-time Pre-Op PACU Registered Nurse. The RN must hold a Texas RN license and bring ≥2 years peri-operative experience. Responsibilities include admitting patients, delivering pre- and post-operative nursing care, documenting care, and educating patients and families.

Employees may be cross trained and must adhere to HIPAA and center policies while delivering high-quality care in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• RN license issued by the State of Texas
• Minimum 2 years recent peri-operative experience
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• College degree required;/Associate’s Degree with Bachelor’s preferred

Responsibilities

• Admit patient to unit and prepare for scheduled procedure
• Provide nursing care for pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Document care accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and family and maintain confidentiality
