Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks a full-time RN for PreOp/PACU to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia or sedation. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with emphasis on safety, comfort, and discharge readiness.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms, managing conscious sedation, and maintaining sterile techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Toms River Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Pay Range:

$40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
