Job summary

Denville Surgery Center in New Jersey is hiring a part-time PACU Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The RN PACU will support the medical plan of care, maintain patient-family centered care, and collaborate with physicians and staff.

Qualified candidates have NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years in Pre-Op/PACU. The center offers competitive pay and benefits, with a pay range of $40–$50 per hour, commensurate with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Jersey Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU.
• Previous experience in ambulatory surgical settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding aseptic technique and implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Knowledge to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions
• Excellent teaching, communication and organizational skills
• Professional and ethical behavior, teamwork with patients and staff
• Commitment to performance improvement principles

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the PACU.
• Support the medical plan of care and organizational policies.
• Deliver safe, patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting.

PACU Registered Nurse at Denville Surgery Center

The RN PACU provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current New Jersey Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU.
• Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Excellent teaching skills

Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
