Endoscopy Center of Bergen County, operated by United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI), invites applications for a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse. The RN will ensure patient safety and comfort, support anesthesia recovery, and assist clinicians in the procedural environment.

This role requires active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required) and PACU/critical care experience preferred. The center emphasizes high-quality, service-oriented care with accreditation from AAHC and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with ongoing evaluation of condition, safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Endoscopy Center of Bergen County
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

PRN Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month

Pay Range: $48.00 -$50.00/hr **** (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
