Job summary

Shore Outpatient Surgicenter is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuity of care from preoperative through PACU recovery, ensuring patient safety, comfort and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.

Required: graduation from an accredited RN school, active RN license in the state, and BLS and ACLS (PALS if required).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients from preoperative to PACU recovery.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with activities including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and family needs in preparation for discharge.

At Shore Outpatient Surgicenter, we focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $45.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
