Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a Charge Nurse for Preop/PACU/ASC to oversee patient flow, ensure high-quality nursing care and cost-effective resource use. The role requires strong clinical leadership and the ability to guide staff in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting.

The Charge Nurse will serve as Nurse Manager designee in absence, maintain safety standards, and support state surveys. ACLS/BLS and RN licensure are mandatory, with ACLS completion within three months if needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• ACLS and BLS certification required; ACLS within 3 months if not certified at hire.
• Support preparation activities for State and AAAHC surveys.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, customer service, organizational and technical skills.
• Computer proficiency required (MS Word/Outlook); Amkai experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve in Pre-Op/PACU nurse role and manage patient flow.
• Keep Nurse Manager informed of clinical activities; act as staff resource.
• Demonstrate a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, vendors and staff.
• Plan Pre-Op and PACU staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Assist in budgeting and cost awareness related to supplies and staffing.
