Job summary

ADP, Inc. is hiring an experienced Charge Nurse to lead our Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center team. The role spans Pre-Op, OR, and PACU, guiding a nursing staff and visiting surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will supervise 5–11 RNs and allied staff, drive safety and efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering professional development and outstanding patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Requires proven experience as Charge Nurse.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and KPIs for patient care.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee and evaluate nursing staff of 5-11 RNs.
• Oversee non-RN OR techs and Medical Assistants.
• Maintain quality programs and conduct daily quality checks.
• Coordinate with OR manager to ensure efficient turnover of rooms (7-9 minutes).
• Schedule RNs, OR Techs, and MAs with at least 4 weeks notice.
• Lead QA studies and ensure survey readiness documentation.
• Achieve budgeting initiatives by monitoring expenditures.
