Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics seeks a Charge Nurse for Preop, PACU and ASC to manage patient flow and staffing within Surgical Services/Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role requires RN licensure in Georgia, ACLS and BLS certification, and strong leadership, teamwork and customer service skills.

Proficiency in MS Word/Outlook and Amkai experience are preferred. The Charge Nurse serves as Nurse Manager designee when needed, oversees staffing plans, budgets, and compliance with safety standards, and trains

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required; if ACLS not held at hire, must obtain within 3 months.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, customer service, organizational and technical skills.
• Computer proficiency including MS Word and Outlook; Amkai experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pre-Op/PACU nurse and manage patient flow.
• Keep Nurse Manager informed; provide staff guidance.
• Display customer service attitude toward patients and staff.
• Plan Pre-Op and PACU staffing to ensure coverage.
• Coordinate staffing from nursing agency as needed.
• Report back orders to appropriate staff.
• Contribute to budgeting.
• Promote awareness of waste and costs of supplies.
• Handle disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Ensure proper use of equipment; adhere to procedures.
• Train new employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
