OverviewPremium Territory Manager is responsible for implementing sales plans of the Premium Cigar Division through frequent personal contact and coordination with Premium Cigar Retailers and Distributors.
Territory Location : California, Oregon, and WashingtonResponsibilities• Plans itinerary in conjunction with the Division Sales Manager to engage with key tobacco shops, distributors, or special accounts, depending on the category to which employee has been specifically assigned.
• Compiles and maintains lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from assigned market area newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, the internet, and other sources.
• Initiates, plans and executes promotional events showcasing our products.
• Solicits cigar orders and endeavors to maintain adequate inventory in customer accounts.
• Introduces new brands, sizes and packaging to all accounts with approval from Divisional Sales Manager.
• Organizes and attends partnership and sampling events.
• Promotes and protects premium cigar brands by creatively constructing prominent displays. Rearranges merchandise in cigar cases for fresh, neat and appealing presentation.
• Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers, either on sales floors or by phone.
• Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Quotes prices and credit terms for direct buying customers and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Prepares daily and weekly reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Must be based in California and able to travel to Oregon and Washington
- 3+ years of work experience
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with MS office and Outlook applications
- Strong work-ethic, flexibility, and willingness to get the job done and be solution-oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Travel required - approximately 50%
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Cigar experience a plus
Work Environment ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to smoke or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/ or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
