Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Premium Supervisor for Stanford University Athletics to manage catering areas and suites during events. You will assist with setup, execution, and breakdown while overseeing staff and guest service to ensure top-tier experiences.

Responsibilities include coordinating with management, supervising servers, maintaining displays, and handling upselling opportunities. Excellent English communication, flexibility, and ability to work evenings and weekends are required.

Summary:

The Premium Supervisor is responsible for managing the successful operations of catering area’s and or suites during the event. The supervisor helps facilitate executing area setup and breakdown. The supervisor oversees the breakdown of the event once it is concluded. Once an event is near, the supervisor checks the provisions and stocking orders to ensure that all is ready for guests. The supervisor manages the runners and the servers, to again, ensure effective processes are in place. The supervisor handles guest issues and then reports them up to managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meets with the management before the event to go over details.
• Supervises staff during check-ins and breakdowns.
• Ensures all food and beverage is properly displayed and maintained throughout the event.
• Knowledgeable on all menu offerings.
• Supervises the runners and servers before, during and after the event.
• Establishes rapport with guests and understands suggestive and upselling techniques.
• Determine where guests would like to eat their meals and help them get situated.
• Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided.
• Performs post event product inventory and restocks, as needed.
• Create, modify and close sales checks in point of sale.
• Understands all event paperwork and reports.
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines.
• Interact with ownership groups to ensure that their needs are met routinely.
• Maintains service areas.
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Be punctual, reliable and available for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays on event basis.
• Adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards including Food Handlers Card, California Alcohol Certification.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English in written and oral form.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
• Lift, push pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather elements
• Schedule Flexibility: Must be flexible with your schedule and available to attend/execute special events outside of normal work hours.
• Travel: Ability and willingness to travel as required.
