Job summary

Chop Steakhouse & Bar is seeking a skilled Broil Cook to expertly prepare and cook prime steaks, chops, seafood, and other grilled specialties to exacting standards. The role emphasizes flavor, precise doneness, and food safety in a fine dining setting.

Previous broil/grill experience is required, with strong preference for premium steak expertise. Join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen that values teamwork and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous broil or grill cooking experience is required.
• Experience cooking premium steaks is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook steaks and other proteins to guest specifications and company standards.
• Maintain consistency in steak temperatures, presentation, and portioning.
• Set up and maintain the broil station before, during, and after service.
• Ensure all food is prepared safely and according to health and sanitation standards.
• Monitor product quality and minimize waste.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, expo, and fellow line cooks during service.
• Keep the station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and daily production schedules.
• Support the kitchen team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
