Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc is hiring a Meat Cutter to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards while supporting department inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising. The role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include assisting guests, preserving product quality, and maintaining safety and sanitation protocols across the department. Certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items, assist guests in finding products and meal solutions.
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim meat and seafood products while maintaining quality per standards.
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Adhere to safety, food safety, receiving, stocking, and unloading procedures to ensure freshness.
