Eye Specialty Group is seeking a Refractive Patient Counselor to educate patients considering cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses (IOLs), and refractive lens exchange (RLE). You will partner with physicians and the clinical team to assess visual needs, lifestyle, and expectations, and explain options, outcomes, and costs to support informed decisions.

• Associates degree or equivalent required; COA certification preferred.
• Sales or customer service background; healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information; strong communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor.
• Proficient with EHR software and healthcare systems.
• Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, and high-quality record-keeping.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients on cataract surgery, premium IOLs, and refractive options.
• Pre-screen and pre-test patients; coordinate with physicians and clinical team.
• Counsel patients on vision correction options, costs, and financing.
• Explain lens technologies and differences to match patient goals and lifestyle.
• Schedule and coordinate pretesting, examinations, and follow-up visits.
• Maintain accurate patient and financial records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
