EyeCenter of Texas is seeking a Refractive Surgery Coordinator to guide patients through cataract and refractive surgery planning, educate on premium IOLs, LASIK, and related options, and coordinate with the surgeon and scheduling team for a smooth patient journey.

The role requires strong communication, experience in ophthalmology, and comfort with multi-location travel; you will document findings in the EMR, review costs, and support patients from initial consult to postoperative care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in ophthalmology.
• JCAHPO COA or higher certification preferred.
• Experience educating patients on premium IOLs and laser vision correction preferred.
• Experience with EHR software; Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Educate patients on premium IOLs and refractive procedures (LASIK, PRK, Visian ICL).
• Coordinate pre- and post-operative steps with surgeon and scheduling team.
• Review financial considerations and ensure accurate data for surgical planning and patient experience.
• Document results, education, and decisions into the EMR on the same day.
• Work with surgeons, technicians, optometrists, and coordinators to ensure a smooth patient journey.
