Job summary

Eye Center of Texas is seeking a Refractive Surgery Coordinator to educate patients on premium IOLs and refractive procedures (LASIK, PRK, Visian ICL) and coordinate steps with the surgeon and scheduling team. The role reviews financial considerations for each procedure to ensure accurate surgical planning and an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities include communicating test results, documenting decisions in the EMR, and supporting SOPs and patient education materials.

Qualifications

• Explains cataract and refractive surgery options to patients clearly.
• Reviews costs and financing options for premium lenses.
• Experience with ophthalmic terminology and surgical workflows.
• Ability to travel to all practice locations as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients on premium IOLs and refractive procedures.
• Coordinates surgical planning with surgeons and scheduling team.
• Documents results, education, and decisions in the EMR the same day.
• Supports chart audits and SOP updates for patient education materials.
