Job summary

Eddie Merlot's is seeking a bartender for our Burr Ridge, IL location. The role emphasizes delivering superior guest service, beverage knowledge, and precise preparation according to recipes and standards.

You will collaborate with servers and other team members to ensure exceptional hospitality and smooth operations across the lounge and dining room. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of bartender experience, a valid alcohol license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Bartender, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Must have a state license to serve alcohol and understand state/local liquor regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixed drinks.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to multi-task.
• Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests.
• Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events. Work days and hours vary in accordance with business need.

Responsibilities

• Complete and pass required training modules for Bartenders and Servers.
• Know your work schedule for the week, arrive on time, and meet uniform standards.
• Know and understand beverage and menu options; follow recipes and guidelines.
• Communicate with Manager and Hosts about reservations and guest needs.
• Ensure the bar and lounge are clean and well-stocked and complete opening duties.
