Americo Financial Life and Annuity is hiring an entry-level Premium Billing Specialist I to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site role supports premium payments processing for life insurance and annuity products in Kansas City.

You will handle incoming payments, respond to phone inquiries, and perform basic account transactions following department guidelines. Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential.

merico is hiring a full time Premium Billing Specialist I to join our expanding team. The hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm onsite at our downtown Kansas City office.

Overview

The Premium Billing department is responsible for processing premium payments and supporting billing related service needs for life insurance and annuity products. This entry level role processes incoming payments, assists internal and external customers with phone inquiries and performs basic account transactions in accordance with established department guidelines and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and administer on demand premium drafts for policyholders using telephony software following department guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Apply incoming premium payments for life insurance and annuity products in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Process refunds for overpaid premiums and complete basic accounting transactions between company accounts.
• Review suspense entries and restricted or suspended policies and resolve basic customer inquiries.
• Perform additional duties based on department needs and individual capacity.

Required Qualifications
