Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Tempur-Pedic Sales Associate in Troy, MI to deliver outstanding customer service while promoting Tempur-Pedic products. The role may include store-management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable, including opening/closing and leadership tasks.

Responsibilities cover leadership in the sales process, brand compliance, merchandising support, and collaboration with the sales team to drive performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years retail experience with high-end luxury and/or custom products.
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.
• Skilled at current best practice retail methods, procedures, and standards.
• Demonstrated collaborator able to both lead and follow.
• Flexibility in work schedule reflecting store hours.
• Fluency with current retail software / computer systems.
• Must be able to stand for lengthy periods and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures, and maintaining Tempur Sealy's brand.
• Continue to perform all Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.
• Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.
• Resolve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
