Job summary

Tempur Sealy International in Detroit is seeking a Tempur-Pedic Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while selling Tempur-Pedic products. You may assist as a member of management when the Store Manager is unavailable, including opening and closing the store and covering management duties.

The role emphasizes leadership in the sales process, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies, and upholding the Tempur Sealy brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years retail experience with luxury or custom products.
• Strong consultative sales skills.
• Ability to lead, direct, and train others in a store.
• Proficiency with current retail software and POS systems.
• Reliable team collaborator with flexible schedule.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures, and upholding Tempur Sealy’s brand.
• Continue to perform all Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.
• Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.
• Solve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
