Job summary

Cox Automotive, a leader in vehicle technology and services, seeks a Detail Technician (Piece) to perform thorough cleaning, detailing, and finishing of vehicles in a fixed Cox location. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and efficient task completion on a day shift.

Pay is production-based, ranging per task, with potential for additional incentives or commissions. A valid driver’s license and ability to operate standard and automatic transmissions are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; less than 2 years of related work accepted.
• Previous detail shop or buffing experience is helpful.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Clean out and trash interior of vehicles including ashtrays, consoles, seats, trunk, and engine compartment.
• Remove license plates and stickers; disassemble spare tires and write-off items not related to Auction business.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure or automatic systems; treat engine compartments and battery terminals.
• Detail and buff surfaces, apply dressings, wax, and buff painted areas as needed.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and spotless interior; ensure window cleanliness and tool safety.
