Job summary

Datadog is seeking a capable leader to manage and mentor a team of Premier Support Engineers. You will own performance, conduct reviews, and partner with upper management to drive improvements while ensuring high-quality client support.

The role operates in a hybrid environment with opportunities to influence training and knowledge sharing across the engineering org. You’ll guide onboarding, support training, contribute to knowledge bases, and collaborate with internal teams on escalations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of technical engineers or specialists.
• Programming experience and familiarity with Linux basics.
• Active contribution to open-source projects and engineering community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, coach and mentor a team of Premier Support Engineers.
• Own team accountability and performance; work with upper management on reviews and performance plans.
• Ensure successful onboarding and training of new hires.
• Guide learning and development for the team, including certificates and training.
• Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Drive initiatives to improve team productivity, processes, or procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers on escalations when needed.
