Job summary

Proper Hospitality is seeking a Steward to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across kitchens and dining areas. You will wash and sanitize dishware, assist with storage organization, waste disposal, and support the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.

You will work with health and safety guidelines, manage cleaning supplies, and help during peak times and events to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous kitchen/restaurant experience is a plus, not required.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and sanitation procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware to the highest standard.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper sanitization of kitchenware.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment per safety guidelines.
• Keep dishwashing and storage areas organized and stocked.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of storage, dry goods, walk-ins, and refrigerators.
• Dispose of trash and waste according to hotel policies and local regulations.
• Support kitchen staff with mise en place and replenishing supplies.
• Monitor and report any safety issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
