Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking enthusiastic, friendly Server Assistants to support our dining team and deliver exceptional service at Marriott-branded venues. You will greet guests, assist servers, and ensure every table reflects the highest standards of hospitality.

Requirements include a high school diploma or higher, hospitality experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, and comfort with using tablets and POS systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• Hospitality/serving experience preferred – minimum one year Server Assistant, Backwaiter, or Food Runner in the greater Tampa Bay area preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets.

Responsibilities

• Know beverages including liquors and wines.
• Serves guests efficiently and courteously following steps of service.
• Runs food and assists servers at The Lobby Bar, Pool, Upstairs Bar, In Room Dining.
• Maintain clean, organized stations and set up tables with needed serviceware.
• Follow cash handling procedures and explain shortages/overages.
• Upsell items and ensure high guest scores on the GSS.
