MSD of Martinsville is seeking a paraeducator to support special education teachers in creating a safe, inclusive classroom. You will work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce IEP goals, implement accommodations, and help with behavior support plans.

The role requires standing and moving around the school, assisting with personal care as needed, supervising transitions, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer or communication skills.
• Ability to work with students.
• Experience in schools or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Support special education teachers in creating a safe, structured learning environment.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce IEP goals.
• Implement accommodations and behavior support plans as needed.
• Assist with personal care needs as required and supervise transitions.
• Move around the classroom and campus, lifting up to 20 pounds when necessary.
