Job summary

Brooklyn STEM Academy is seeking a CHAMPS Aide-Self-Contained to support students with disabilities in a structured, inclusive setting. You will reinforce IEP goals, implement accommodations, and assist with behavior plans under the supervision of a teacher or administrator.

The role requires resilience, good judgment, and the ability to stand, move, and assist students during transitions and activities across the campus. Experience in schools is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer or communication skills; ability to work with students; prior school or similar setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Support special education teachers in creating a safe, structured learning environment.
• Reinforce IEP goals and learning objectives with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist with accommodations, behavior plans, and inclusive opportunities; supervise transitions and assist with mobility as needed.
