Job summary

Manchester Township School District is seeking a Para-Professional/Special Education Aide to support instructional activities in a Regional Day School setting.

The role involves assisting the certified classroom teacher, working with students individually and in small groups, and helping with clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. A high school diploma and a readiness to meet district standards are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Adherence to No Child Left Behind standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Sensitive to needs of at-risk children.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in delivering an effective instructional program.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce material.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment.
• Distribute and collect materials for instruction and supervise activities.
• Assist in planning and maintaining classroom displays.
• Read to students and support language development.
• Perform clerical duties related to the instructional program.
• Assist with care of physical needs of students in special education.
