Qualifications

• Must be "Highly Qualified" as proscribed by NCLB (Associate's degree or passing Para Pro or Work Keys assessment)
• Experience working with young children in a diverse, urban educational setting; experience teaching students in an integrated preschool setting.
• Ability to work in a collaborative teaching and learning environment and have a continuous learning mindset; willing to be trained in de-escalation and restraint techniques provided by the district.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

• maintaining records and data on student performance as assigned by the teacher
• monitoring student behavior and assisting students to engage in appropriate classroom behavior
