Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools seeks a compassionate Special Education Teacher for an Integrated PreK classroom serving 3- to 5-year-olds at Glover Elementary School in Marblehead, MA. The program supports students with and without disabilities in a highly structured, relationship-centered setting.

The selected candidate will lead IEP development and progress monitoring, collaborate with families and staff, and implement trauma-informed, inclusive practices to foster academic and social-emotional

Qualifications

Massachusetts DESE licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK–8).
SEI Endorsement required.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience working with Early Childhood students (ages 3–5).
Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral interventions, social-emotional learning, and inclusive programming.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized, whole group and small-group instruction aligned with IEPs and the MA Curriculum Frameworks for PREK.
Design and implement differentiated lessons supporting academic and social-emotional growth.
Create a structured, predictable environment promoting self-regulation and independence.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related staff, and families to support student learning.
