Job summary

Wonderspring is seeking a part-time PreK Counts Assistant Teacher Float to support Smith Playground Center. You will rotate across classrooms 12:00 PM–5:00 PM, helping with coverage and maintaining ratios while ensuring safety and continuity of care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, relationship-building with families and staff, and adherence to lead teacher guidance to sustain a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA Certification required.
• 2+ years of experience working with children preferred.
• Strong teamwork and flexibility.
• Ability to keep information private.
• Basic knowledge of childcare rules.
• Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Step into different classrooms to provide coverage while maintaining ratios.
• Support daily routines and classroom activities.
• Provide active supervision at all times to keep children safe.
• Build and maintain relationships with children, families and staff.
• Follow lead teacher responsibilities for the classroom.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized environments.
