Job summary

SST Sugar Land Elementary seeks a PreK Educational Aide to support classroom instruction and student learning in a full-time capacity. The role involves assisting teachers with small-group and individualized plans, and helping manage classroom activities in a busy elementary setting.

The aide will help implement differentiated instruction, supervise students during meals and activities, and support individualized learning goals in collaboration with the Dean of Academics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 48 college hours preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups or an individual child.
• Enforces classroom management and behavioral plans to create an environment that is appropriate for learning.
• Supervises students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, events, and programs.
• Plans, prepares, and implements differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
