Job summary

Spring ISD in Houston is hiring for a Pre-Kindergarten Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports the teacher in delivering lessons and supervising Pre-K students, within a 187-day work calendar.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED (with alternative qualifications) and be able to communicate effectively, work well with children, and use basic computer skills. Reporting to the Principal, this nonexempt position offers para 1 pay and stable school-year employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and meet one of the following qualifications.
• Associate's Degree (or higher) or 48 semester hours or an academic assessment
• Educational Aide II Certificate or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with implementation of lesson plans.
• Maintain classroom equipment, student files and records.
• Assist in monitoring individual students, classroom and playground activities.
• Record keeping, scheduling and copying.
• Assist in administering tests to evaluate students' progress.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
