Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Preferred Relationship Manager in Houston, TX to acquire, grow, and retain bank customers within the mass affluent segment. You will proactively contact customers, assess needs, and collaborate with partners to deliver bank products and trust-based financial guidance.

You will build trusted advisor relationships, simplify complex financial concepts, and drive referral and investment sales while traveling locally to support Financial Centers as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a sales environment; experience in financial industry.
• Must have Series SIE, 6, 63, and insurance licenses; for external hires, Series 65 within 90 calendar days.
• Ability to build a revenue-producing book of business in the mass affluent segment.
• Professional image for public contact.
• May require local travel to Financial Centers.
• SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Execute on retail strategies to increase the Preferred Program households and meet goals.
• Build deep relationships with customers to earn trusted advisor status.
• Demonstrate ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts.
• Support the sales and referral process with the Financial Center team, focusing on Preferred customers.
• Maintain knowledge of the complete line of products and services and update as needed.
• Meet or exceed investment sales and referral goals with Investment Executive.
• Initiate and maintain customer contact through various methods, including seminars and community events.
• Stay informed on industry and economic trends to anticipate customer needs.
