Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager in the Sterling Heights, MI area to acquire, grow, and retain bank customers, with focus on Preferred Program clients and mass affluent prospects. You will proactively contact and service customers, assess needs, and partner with the center team to drive referrals and solutions.

You will maintain up-to-date product knowledge, demonstrate complex financial concepts clearly, and meet or exceed investment sales and referral goals while traveling

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a sales environment; financial industry experience.
• Pass consultative selling skills certification and ongoing educational requirements.
• Series SIE, 6, 63 and insurance licenses required; Series 65 within 90 days of hire (with up to two attempts).
• Ability to build and maintain a revenue-producing book of business, especially in mass affluent segment.
• Professional image required for public contact.
• Role may require local travel to one or more financial centers.
• SAFE Act registration required at employment via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Execute retail strategies to increase Preferred Program households and meet referral goals.
• Build deep client relationships as a trusted advisor through consultative sales.
• Explain complex financial concepts in a simple way.
• Support sales activities in financial centers and evolve referral processes.
• Maintain knowledge of the full product line and seek development needs.
• Meet or exceed investment sales and referral targets with Investment Executive.
• Proactively contact customers and prospects through various channels and events.
