Job summary

The Weitz Company, through its EPI Power subsidiary, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all EPI Power warehouses and support travel to other locations as needed.

You will drive maintenance, safety, vendor relationships, on-time equipment delivery, asset inventory accuracy, and invoicing compliance, with a preference for a related bachelor's degree and forklift certification; 10+ years of construction warehouse experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in construction or warehouse management.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Minimum 10 years of construction-related warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain all EPI Power warehouses in an organized manner.
• Collaborate with project teams before purchasing equipment.
• Track maintenance and decide on replacements or repairs.
• Source reputable external vendors for equipment maintenance.
• Expand warehouse services and ensure DOT compliance.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment to project sites.
• Maintain asset inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Set maintenance requirements for fleet trucks.
• Create purchasing plans for equipment.
• Operate small equipment as needed and process invoices promptly.

EPI Power is growing and looking to add a Warehouse Manager to our team!

The Warehouse Manager will provide oversight and support across all EPI Power warehouses. The position will also require the ability and willingness to travel to other warehouse locations as needed to provide operational support, ensure consistency with company procedures and standards, and assist with warehouse related issues when required.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure warehouse and equipment operation(s) is well-maintained in an organized manner
• Collaborate with applicable warehouse and project teams prior to purchasing, leasing or renting equipment
• Track equipment and tool usage to ensure regular scheduled maintenance is completed within regulations; recommend replacement, sale or repair, as necessary
• Source and solidify reputable vendors for external equipment maintenance needs
• Pursue opportunities to provide additional services in an effort to expand warehouse operations
• Support warehouse safety programs, including: ensuring implementation, ensuring all equipment and tools are in safe working condition, establishing positive safety behavior and adhering to Company's safety protocols
• Comply with DOT regulations (i.e. trailer weight/load restrictions, equipment maintenance)
• Ensure equipment and tools are delivered timely to project sites in order to maximize productivity
• Maintain current asset inventory to resolve inventory irregularities, usage inaccuracies and equipment uses
• Set maintenance requirements of fleet trucks
• Create business plans for purchasing of equipment
• Operate small equipment to load/unload trucks, rearrange items, and other tasks as needed
• Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely

What We're Looking For:

• Education:
  • An industry related bachelor's degree is preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Forklift Certification is required, or the willingness to obtain upon hire
• Experience:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of construction related warehouse experience is preferred, including management of quality assurance processes and leading change within a warehouse.
  • OSHA 30 preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire

• Technology:
  • Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook
