Job summary

The Weitz Company’s EPI Power division in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all EPI Power warehouses and provide operational support across multiple locations.

Key duties include maintaining equipment, coordinating with project teams, ensuring maintenance schedules, and driving safety programs while adhering to DOT regulations. Travel to other warehouses may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred or the willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A minimum of ten years of construction related warehouse experience, including QA processes and leading change in a warehouse.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure warehouse and equipment operation is well-maintained and organized.
• Collaborate with warehouse and project teams before purchasing equipment.
• Track equipment and tool usage; schedule maintenance and decide on replacement/repair.
• Source reputable vendors for external equipment maintenance needs.
• Pursue opportunities to expand warehouse operations.
• Support warehouse safety programs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Comply with DOT regulations (trailer weight/load restrictions, equipment maintenance).
• Ensure on-time delivery of equipment to project sites to maximize productivity.
• Maintain current asset inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Set maintenance requirements for fleet trucks.
• Create business plans for equipment purchasing.
• Operate small equipment to load/unload vehicles and rearrange items.
• Process invoices accurately and timely.
