Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group is seeking a Preconstruction Scheduler in Chattanooga to support planning and maintenance of construction schedules for heavy civil projects. You will work with Preconstruction, Estimating, Project Management, and Field Operations to create realistic schedules using Primavera P6 and field knowledge.

The role emphasizes understanding earthwork, grading, and site development, with opportunities to grow in scheduling theory, change orders, and resource loading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent field experience welcomed.
• Three+ years of relevant heavy civil construction/scheduling experience.
• Experience as Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar role preferred.
• Practical knowledge of earthwork, grading, excavation, concrete structures, and site development.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules for bids prior to bid due dates with preconstruction team.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Review drawings, specs, quantities, and approaches to identify activities and sequencing.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors for two-week look-ahead planning.
• Support baseline schedules, progress updates, and schedule reports.
